This is the year for skiing and snowboarding and tubing at three ski mountains within an hour, and larger ski resorts within 2-3 hours, ice skating at Twin Ponds, snow fort on the front lawn, snow-shoeing and cross-country skiing, and snowmobiling.

Voted the best new museum for 2024, Gettysburg’s “Beyond the Battle,” along with Gettysburg Battlefield, National Civil War Museum, and historical reenactments. In the birthplace of independence, Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, and Valley Forge. Closer to home is the Army Heritage & Education Center, Pa.
