UPDATE: PP&L project to cause delays through Claremont Gate, Aug. 20-21
Expect intermittent traffic delays at Claremont Gate from 9-11 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 20 and, Wednesday, Aug. 21. Expect delays in 10-minute increments throughout this time.

Last week’s water advisory highlighted safety, readiness, relationships
On the morning of Aug. 5?, acting on the recommendation of the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, U.S. Army Garrison Carlisle Barracks issued a “Do Not Use” Order for its water. The order demonstrated the Garrison’s focus on readiness, its people first mindset and its regard for the safety of the Soldiers, Civilians and families who live and work on Post.

Chief of the National Guard Bureau to USAWC Grads - Innovate, adapt, compete
The graduation ceremony for 367 members of the U.S. Army War College Distance Class of 2019 was a personal triumph of “amazing accomplishment,” according to Commandant Maj. Gen. John Kem. It was equally a time to celebrate a new sense of purpose for the assignments that await this cohort of U.S. military officers of Active, Reserve and Guard components, international officers, and civilians of multiple federal agencies.

Summer 2019: International Fellows prepare for year of study, relationship-building
The USAWC journey is underway for 79 officers of allied and partner nations including first-time attendance from the countries of Liberia, Angola and of Azerbaijan. These International Fellows will first complete a six-week orientation, and then join their U.S. counterparts in the U.S. Army War College Resident Program Class of 2020, beginning Aug 1.

This year’s graduating class consists of 223 Army officers, 9 Navy, 26 Air Force, 17 Marines, 1 Coast Guard, 28 Civilians, and 76 International Fellows from 73 countries.
