Next commanders' town hall -- with acting Commandant MG Hill, Garrison Cdr LTC Short, Dunham Cdr LTC Saenz -- Thu, March 4 at noon - Got questions: post to facebook OR submit email to the USAWC public email box,

This page: new information above the page break. Below: current policies for Carlisle Barracks and Pennsylvania ... current operations and changes across base .. and resources to stay up to date.

Effective Feb. 28 -- The Carlisle Barracks mask policy applies to all visitors as well as DoD military and civilian employees, contractors and family members -- in all on-base buildings and outside in common areas when 6-feet distancing cannot be maintained.

Pa. GOV Wolf has dropped the quarantine or test requirement upon return from out-of-state travel. Army travel guidelines remain in effect.

As of March 2, 2021: Pa. daily COVID cases = 2,503 compared to the 2,397 cases reported on March 1, 2021.

Current report of comparable incident levels: 37 cases per 100,000 people for Cumberland county. Pennsylvania-wide, 20 per 100K people. Neighboring Franklin County is reporting 17 per 100K people and Huntingdon County is reporting 17 per 100K.

*The trend of daily cases is decreasing in PA and Cumberland county. Gov. Wolf has lifted some and revised other statewide mitigation numbers, according to a press release issued by Gov. Wolf on March 1. Wolf attributes this trend, in part, to the progress in the state’s vaccination plan. There is also a decrease in the number of counties with substantial transmission, the highest level of transmission. Cumberland county is now in the moderate transmission level. HOWEVER, the surrounding counties--Perry, Dauphin, York, Adams, Franklin, and Huntington remain at the highest level of transmission.
