Commandant Maj. Gen. John Kem acknowledged the rigor and scope of the graduates' 10-month masters-level studies, as he spoke to families, friends and senior leaders.

Speaking to the graduating students, recent Deloitte CEO Cathy Engelbert compared the future challenge of the U.S. Army War College Class of 2019 to the challenge faced 75 years ago by the D-Day planners.

Breona Brogan, daughter of resident student Lt. Col. Bernard Brogan, sang the National Anthem today during the Army War College graduation ceremony on the historic parade ground on Carlisle Barracks.

The class includes 76 International Fellows from allied and partner nations who study and collaborate alongside U.S. military officers in the U.S. Army War College.

U.S. graduates include 223 Army officers, 9 Navy, 26 Air Force, 16 Marine Corps, 1 Coast Guard, and 28 senior civilians of federal agencies engaged in national security.
